WE ARE ESG

100 %

The Blue Business and Innovation Fair is an event with a reduced ecological footprint – sustainable, circular and regenerative.

ESG

ENVIRONMENT, SOCIAL, GOVERNANCE

ENVIRONMENT, PEOPLE, VALUES

We are fully aware of our impact on the planet, people and communities. We are also aware of our vulnerability and exposure to risks and opportunities – in the face of a rapidly changing world, threatened by conflicts, climate change and increasing pollution.

We intend to reduce our ecological footprint to the maximum of our ability. We are committed to a sustainable, circular and biodiversity regenerative event model.

SUSTAINABILITY - ESG STRATEGY

Sustainability is not just a commitment to humanity and the planet sustainability is a matter of business continuity.

The Blue Business and Innovation Fair is not limited to following a sustainability strategy, complementary to the organizational strategy sustainability is our own strategy.

This consciousness manifests itself in the following options:

  • Selection of the event location and product and service suppliers, taking into account their sustainability strategy;

  • Reduction of energy consumption and emissions associated with the event, opting for a location close to electric public transport – train and subway;

  • Accounting for scope 1 and scope 2 emissions (GHG protocol), for subsequent compensation through the acquisition of carbon credits (blue carbon, if possible);

  • Repel greenwashing by publishing certificates and proof of the event's sustainability options;

  • Preparation of a double materiality matrix, identifying the material themes with which we impact the planet, people and communities, and by which we are equally impacted.

CIRCULARITY

According to the renowned Ellen MacArthur, the circular economy is based on three principles: (1) eliminate waste and pollution; (2) circulate products and materials, up to the maximum limit; and (3) regenerate nature.

The Blue Business and Innovation Fair follows these guidelines, through the following options and principles:

  • Reducing waste and pollution, by not using single-use (disposable) plastic, as well as other single-use products and equipments;

  • Availability of standardized stands for Exhibitors, simple and reusable, focused on circularity and saving material and human resources, as well as associated transport;

  • Support for the regeneration of nature and biodiversity, through the invitation as Exhibitor (free of charge), to an organization responsible for application of Nature-based Solutions (SbN).
